I have always loved camping. Being close to nature and watching its beauty unfold slowly is one of the few treasures I cherish in this world. However, there are times when I crave the comforts of modern living while still being close to nature. Fortunately, “glamping” has become a popular option. On one of my quests to find the perfect nature escape, I stumbled upon Kalikasan Glamping Resort. Here’s a recap of our stay—the good, the bad, and everything in between.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT KALIKASAN GLAMPING RESORT

Kalikasan Glamping Resort is one of those rare finds that instantly makes you feel at ease. From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a special kind of getaway. Here are all the things I absolutely loved about my stay:

Secluded, But Not Inconvenient

One of the best things about Kalikasan is its location. It feels wonderfully tucked away—secluded enough to give you that much-needed peace and quiet—but it’s still just a short drive from the town proper. So, if you need supplies or want to explore a bit, you’re not completely cut off. It’s the perfect balance of remote and accessible.

Stunning Infinity Pool with a View

The infinity pool is a true highlight. It overlooks a lush forest filled with various trees—including banana trees—that surround the resort, with the majestic Mt. Banahaw rising in the background. Whether you’re taking a dip or simply lounging by the pool, the view is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly calming.

Clean & Instagrammable Toilets and Baths

Let’s be honest—bathrooms can make or break a glamping experience. Thankfully, Kalikasan gets it right. Each accommodation has its own exclusive toilet and bath, and they’re not only spotless but also stylish and very Instagram-worthy. Plus, they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash—huge bonus!

Not Crowded – Just the Way I Like It

The property features a limited number of glamping tents, creating an exclusive and serene environment that enhances the overall experience. With so few accommodations available, the area never feels crowded, which greatly contributes to its tranquil atmosphere. During my stay, I enjoyed a rare sense of solitude, as it felt like I had the entire property almost to myself, allowing me to relax and immerse myself in nature fully. The quiet surroundings, combined with the comforts of glamping, made for a truly rejuvenating getaway.

Clean, Comfortable, and Fully Equipped Tents

The tents are super cozy. Each one comes with clean beds, air conditioning, electrical outlets, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s camping—but with all the comforts of home.

Private Balcony with a View

Every tent has its own little balcony, complete with a table and chairs. It’s the perfect spot for your morning coffee, a quiet dinner, or just soaking in the view and fresh air. It really makes the stay feel more personal and intimate.

Access to a Kitchen

If you enjoy cooking your own meals while traveling, you’ll appreciate the resort’s shared kitchen. It’s clean and well-equipped. They provide a small stove and charge  ₱90 for the butane. Bring your own cooking utensils. It’s perfect for those who want to prepare their own food and eat at their own pace.

Friendly and Approachable Staff

The staff at Kalikasan are genuinely warm and welcoming. From check-in to check-out, they were always ready to assist and answer questions. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. They were also very responsive on social media, which made finding information much easier.

In-House Food Options Available

Too tired to cook or go out? No worries. Kalikasan Glamping Resort offers in-house meals that you can pre-order. The food is tasty, satisfying, and super convenient after a long day of swimming or exploring.

Overall Peace and Quiet

Above all else, what I appreciated most was the serenity. Kalikasan Glamping Resort truly lives up to its name—“kalikasan” meaning nature. The surroundings, the ambiance, and the slow, quiet pace of life here make it the ideal place to unplug, recharge, and just breathe.

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED

While Kalikasan Glamping Resort offers a serene and scenic experience, there are a few key areas where improvements can be made to enhance guest convenience and overall satisfaction:

Lack of Clear Markers and Directions in Alaminos Town

Finding the resort can be a challenge, especially for first-time visitors. Some locals are not familiar with the exact location, which makes navigation difficult for those using private vehicles or public transportation. It would be helpful to install clear directional markers within the town of Alaminos, pointing toward the resort. Additionally, having a designated pick-up/drop-off point or transport terminal with fixed fees—similar to what U-GO Cliff Resort in Bukidnon offers—can greatly improve accessibility for guests without personal vehicles.

Distance of Toilet and Bath Facilities from Tents

While the resort has designated areas for toilets and baths use, the distance from the tents can be inconvenient, especially during the night or in rainy weather. Having at least one toilet and bath facility closer to or beside each tent would provide more comfort and privacy, and reduce the need for long walks just to use basic amenities.

Tent Condition and Maintenance

Some of the tents, like the one we stayed at, show signs of wear and tear and could benefit from repair or complete replacement. Since the glamping experience is meant to be a blend of comfort and nature, ensuring that tents are in top condition is crucial. Regular maintenance or even upgrading to newer tents will significantly elevate the quality of stay.

Lack of Communication and Transport Coordination

The absence of mobile signal in the area makes it difficult for guests to communicate, especially if they need transport back to the town. It would be a good idea for staff to have two-way radios or other communication tools to coordinate with local tricycle operators or transport services. As it stands, it feels like the resort mainly caters to guests with private vehicles, which may discourage others from visiting.

USEFUL TRAVEL TIPS FOR A HASSLE-FREE STAY AT KALIKASAN GLAMPING RESORT

Kalikasan Glamping Resort

Planning a stay at Kalikasan Glamping Resort? Here are some practical tips to help you make the most of your trip—from booking to local exploration:

Book Your Stay in Advance: Kalikasan doesn’t usually accept walk-ins, so it’s best to book your stay ahead of time through their official Facebook page or website. This ensures your slot is secured, especially during weekends or holidays when they’re more likely to be fully booked.

Score Discounts on Booking Sites: If you’re looking to save money, keep an eye out for deals on platforms like Agoda or Klook. For example, we were able to book a night for only ₱1,600, even though the regular rate on Sundays is around ₱3,500. Flexibility in your travel dates (like staying on a Sunday) can help you catch better rates.

Pre-Order Your Meals: Meals at the resort are made fresh, and the kitchen staff only buy ingredients as needed to avoid food waste. This means you should place your meal orders at least a day before your stay so they can shop and prepare accordingly. Don’t forget to check their menu when you book.

Nearby Store for Essentials and No Corkage Fee: Just outside the resort, there’s a small store where you can buy drinks or even order additional food. And a bonus—the resort doesn’t charge any corkage fees, so feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks!

Bring Your Own Food and Use the Chiller: Want to bring your own meals or beverages? No problem! Kalikasan provides access to a chiller where you can store your drinks and food, which is especially convenient for longer stays or group trips.

Arrange Transport if You Don’t Have a Car: If you’re not driving your own vehicle, make sure to coordinate with a tricycle driver for pick-up and drop-off times, especially for your return trip. The resort is located in a more secluded area, so signal is limited, and finding a ride on the spot can be tricky.

Explore Nearby Attractions: Make the most of your trip by checking out nearby spots! You can:

            • Visit San Pablo City, known for its peaceful vibe and good food.
            • Take a trip to the enchanting twin lakes of Pandin and Yambo, perfect for a short side adventure before or after your glamping stay.

These nearby destinations are perfect for nature lovers and are just a short drive or tricycle ride away.
